same day. this is going to have to be a one or the other type thing. i get the midnight texting meme is scheduled for a once a month thing, but can it be a once a month thing as long as the other meme isn't one meme down from it? this is just overkill

It seems the Midnight texting meme was originally meant to be posted around the 14th (mod post: http://bakerstreet.dreamwidth.org/3550935.html), but for some reason that didn't happen.

They are allowed to post it on the thrird weekend of the month so in theary they weren't out of line now. I guess we should not have let the Gen texting meme to be posted because of it.

I wonder if we need to start having dedicated people posting text memes on pre-assigned dates to make this work.

i think people just aren't really looking at the dates/schedules. there should be a more solid date than 'maybe the second or third weekend', because if it's one or the other, people aren't going to know what goes when. make it the second or the third weekend (likely third, since that seems to be when it crops up) and make a point that that's the gen texting post for that sunday. then any other texting post going up that sunday can/should be deleted, and if the midnight post doesn't go up, then it missed out and can just wait until next month.
