is there any particular reason why i can't post a meme to the comm? i've tried to post the smutty picture prompt twice now and it's given me the post-post page that states it's posted, but it's not showing up on the comm.

Have you tried with another journal? No settings have been changed in the comm.

Another reason could be that if you don't allow PMs to your journal, you are possibly banned.

i have pms allowed on my journal and have posted that particular meme a few times. i go to post it, it says it posted, i get the page with 'view your updated community' and it tells me the subject heading of the post, but it's just not showing up. i can try with another journal, i guess, but this is my meme posting one.

Proof I'm not just talking out my butt. I just tried again and that came up and seems to have everything in order with no error messages, which pretty much makes no sense.

I was able to post but I'm not sure if that's only because I'm one of the mods.

Sorry, I don't have a quick fix but I will look into it.

Press "update date" or add a line of code like < ! > into your meme. If you post the same meme regularly and often it just updates your older meme.

Thanks for the tip. I adviced justformemes to try again on another day (with a different meme, of course) as I thought maybe it was just a temporary DW glitch going on.

i don't think i'd want to update the smutty picture prompt meme, since that's one that gets a lot of hits and it wouldn't repost it as a new meme, but drag the old post up with all the same threads/top levels. (i still haven't tried posting a meme with that account yet)
