I've given the meme posters some leeway, as stated in my own mod post (the one on top):

"posting any of these memes a day earlier or later is not something to report as a problem. The important thing is to only post them once a week. That means a Sunday-Saturday timeframe".

okay, so, once i can see that happening, but it's been 3 weeks in a row now and they're doing it at around 8-9pm pst time. because 'it's sunday somewhere'. they're rushing to be the first to post it and they don't need to be. it's a sunday meme. if it's consistently getting posted on saturday, it's no longer a sunday meme.

i just think needless nitpicking is a kneejerk reaction to how the comm used to be absolute anarchy, which is a bad thing. we need a median.

not to mention that if it's consistently early enough that it gets listed as saturday instead of sunday because it's up before the weekly round up, it's too early. i kind of feel like that meme poster wanted to get it up before they went to sleep, but they don't have to be the one to put it up. lots of posters are willing to put it up and they don't have to be 'first' at doing it. then it starts to feel proprietary and i've already had to deal with someone acting proprietary over a comm meme because 'they said so'.
